Old Custom House

The Old Custom House stands in Blythburgh, a village on the Suffolk coast with views across the Blyth Estuary. Three king-size bedrooms occupy two floors, each with its own bathroom – one with a shower cubicle, one with a bath and shower, one with a double shower. The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner and French doors to the garden, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped with both a conventional cooker and an Aga. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided; the first load of wood for the burner is included.

The property accommodates six guests and is yours entirely. On-site parking covers two cars. One well-behaved pet stays at no extra cost. A private enclosed garden has a patio, summerhouse and seating areas. The White Hart pub sits close by. Southwold with its pier and coloured beach huts lies a short drive away, as does RSPB Minsmere, where hides and a café make for a morning or afternoon out. Blythburgh's medieval church and the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are on the doorstep. No smoking indoors.
