Great Glemham is a quiet village deep in the Suffolk countryside, two miles inland from the A12 down a country lane. Simpers Drift is a detached dairy conversion set within the grounds of a 17th-century listed farmhouse, with high ceilings, exposed original features and contemporary finishes throughout. The whole property is yours alone, sleeping two in a king-size bed upstairs, with a ground-floor open plan living and dining area, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a walk-in shower room.
A wood burner warms the main space on cooler evenings, and the mature enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue. One small or medium dog is welcome. The area is excellent for walking and cycling through the villages and countryside; Sutton Hoo is 15 minutes' drive away, Dunwich Heath 25 minutes, and the coast at Felixstowe around 35 minutes. Pound Farm, a Woodland Trust site, offers 250 acres of woodland, orchard and meadow nearby—nearly all fenced, which matters if you've brought your dog. Wi-Fi and parking for one car are included; there's also an electric car charging point on site if you need it.
