The Haven

Step through The Haven's original stained glass door into a hall with proper space for coats and shoes, high ceilings that flood the place with light, and two separate living areas on the ground floor where a group can actually spread out. The kitchen is built for feeding numbers—range cooker, American fridge freezer, two dishwashers, breakfast bar, and patio doors opening onto an enclosed garden with furniture and a bike store. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are all included.

Seven bedrooms across three floors make up the sleeping space: two super kingsize beds and a double on the first floor; a super kingsize (zip and link, convertible to singles), two twin rooms and a bunk room above. Three bathrooms and two separate toilets mean the queue for the shower needn't be painful. The property holds sixteen people—handy for a large family gathering or group holiday. One dog can stay free. Parking fits two cars with additional space on the road outside.

The beach is less than five minutes' walk away. Kensington Gardens, with tennis courts, a bowling green and boating lake, is nearby. The house doesn't accommodate stag or hen parties; it's a place for groups who want to actually relax together.
