About The Hotel Victoria
Kirkley Cliff runs along the Lowestoft seafront, and it's here that The Hotel Victoria makes its home, with the North Sea stretched out in front and the town's coastal path close by. It's a straightforward base for anyone wanting the sound of the sea rather than a countryside retreat, with entertainment, pubs and restaurants all within easy reach nearby.
The hotel has 24 rooms, many looking straight out over the water, along with a restaurant and bar on site, a garden, and a lift for easier access. Breakfast is included, and the kitchen has a good reputation for generous, well-cooked meals. Free WiFi, laundry service, luggage storage and concierge help round out the practical side of a stay, while meeting rooms and wedding facilities mean the hotel also caters to groups and celebrations, not just overnight guests.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and professional, and free on-site parking is a genuine convenience in a seafront town where spaces can be scarce. It's worth noting that some rooms have been reported as tired or in need of upkeep, so it's not a place chasing polish - but for a coastal stay with sea views and solid food, it holds its own.

What guests say
Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay and this incredible hotel. Why is is only 3 stars we really do not know. The views of the sea from the breakfast room are the best it sits on the promenade. A stroll along the prom takes you to Lowestoft town centre which is ike every other town centre but not many places to eat in the evening. The beach by the hotel is award winning and you can see why it was cleaned every day although we did not see anyone on it during our time there. Car park is big enough for the amount of guests. The staff are all brilliant very efficient, professional, attentive and seem very happy at their jobs. Thank you all. Check in very quick and everything explained to us. Room was a standard double and much bigger than we expected very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy and very quite. Our only comment would be is that we prefer a more powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and cooked to order. We ate at the hotel 3 out of our 4 nights and food was superb and prices reasonable, again plenty of it ad service very professionally and efficiently. Drinks in bar were not as costly as other places we have stayed at in the past. If you want to stay in a lovely hotel, wonderfully located by the sea, brilliant staff, lovely food please try hotel Victoria. Thank you for a lovely stay

I had the pleasure of staying at the Victoria and from the moment I walked in the service was top teir. The reception area is a bit dated, but you can tell The hotel is making upgrades especially in the rooms and dinning area. I had great food and amazing service from the dining room team especially David. A massive shout out to Chris the Chef food was exceptional. My room was cleaned everyday and I had a great night sleep. Will definitely be returning.

Just spent a night. Lovely building, very dated inside. Silly way to order breakfast, seems simple and all came out wrong. Restaurant/bar bathrooms are awful, these should make a good statement, but they look like a public swimming pool toilet. View from our room (sadly no seaside) was of some wonderful lazy wiring. Seaside views are amazing. Could be a wonderful hotel, just needs a refresh. Comfortable bed, a good nights sleep.

As a returning customer, we decided to bring an older relative with us for her 1st holiday in a long while.. She had the disabled room which is a seaview room, which couldn't be faulted. Her response was that she had a lovely few days the service from the moment she entered to leaving was 2nd to none. The food was amazing and the head gardener even made sure everything was perfect outside in the beautiful gardens. It was so good she can not wait to return.
