The Regal Ride (the Blue one) is a fantastic attraction and a great experience for both visitors and locals. The views are beautiful, the ride is smooth and enjoyable, and it’s a wonderful way to see a different side of Edinburgh. One thing I particularly appreciate is the pricing. The tickets are very reasonably priced, especially for students, making it an affordable activity. It’s also great that children can ride for free, which makes it even more family friendly and accessible. The whole experience is well organised, enjoyable, and offers excellent value for money. Whether you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time or have lived here for years, it’s definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!

Great experience, got the Grand 24 ticket and travelled on all three routes, with a free child ticket thrown in too - felt like a bargain! Every single member of staff were cheerful and engaging, our tour guide on The Edinburgh Tour (Green Bus) had some very humourous patter layered into the commentary - left that bus with a grin! Vehicles were uniform, clean and well presented and not a motley crew of old junk that the other (more expensive) operator seems to use!

We arrived at starting point for the City sightseeing tour buses. We approach a seller for best tickets and bus to see Edinburgh castle. As we had only were there for a few hours. The seller informed us that we needed the green bus so we can get to castle and he also can sell us tickets for the Castle. He told us we could hop on hop off all 3 buses , red, green and blue. Only to find out later they stop at 4pm. The green bus tour with live commentary was fantastic. This I definitely recommend. However if only in Edinburgh for a day using the 3 buses to see every thing would be a waste of money. Cost to me just over £70. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and needs time to explore.

Let me lead off with I never give perfect scores as there is always room for improvement in the service industry but I can, with almost 100% confidence, say there is not much to improve upon. I booked a 48 hour ticket Royal Edinburgh tour for my group of 5. Even prior to pre booking the office staff answering customer inquiries answered my questions to help me decide. We did the red line day one along with Edinburgh castle. My rule of thumb is hop on and do a complete loop make mental notes of where you want to hop off on your second time around. Day 2 we did the Regal route this time we broke my rule of thumb and decided the night before where we want to stop so we targeted our stops. We did not do the green line. In any event we booked the Royal Edinburgh 48 hour ticket which includes guaranteed entrance to castle at 1of 4 specific times selected by you, The Brittania, and Hollyroodhouse. There are other ticket options 24 hour single route but the more expensive ticket worked best for my group. As for improvement the tour ticket offers numerous discounts at various attractions that recommend pre booking or offer pre booking but the discount cannot be used ahead of time or be retroactively applied. Suggestion two, on the bus making overhead announcements for each stop to better indicate what is at that stop would be very helpful. Other than those two minor items the Edinburgh Bus Hop on/Hop off tour is worth the money making seeing the city of Edinburgh easy and relaxing.
