Campsite near Haddington with showers, set among woodland.
About Blinkbonny Wood
Blinkbonny Wood is a campground surrounded by trees on the edge of Haddington in East Lothian. The wooded setting gives the site a sheltered character, quite different from the open moorland that dominates much of the region inland. Haddington itself is a historic market town, and the site's location makes it a practical base for exploring the town and the surrounding countryside.
The campsite has shower facilities on site. Pitches are available, though specific details about pitch types or numbers are limited. The woodland location means the site suits campers looking for a quieter spot with some natural shelter, rather than expansive views or seaside access.

What visitors say
Had a great time at Blinkbonny. Pitches are well spaced and peaceful. Plenty of firewood with honesty box system so bring plenty of change. Eggs on sale too. Steven was welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Great back to basics campsite. Well maintained plots in a secluded forest. Each plot has a fire pit and a selection of dry wood that you can buy. They also have a chemical toilet. Dotted around the forest are a range of neat hidden scupltures and huts that young kids would enjoy.

We have just enjoyed our fifth camp at Blinkbonny in less than two years (it's local for us). Our five year old is mad about the place and we really enjoy escaping to the woods as well. From the quiet well spaced out pitches to the constant quirky surprises for kids, we just keep coming back. Set just under the Lammermuir hills (which make for great quiet walking) it's a special place and there is an abundance of affordable firewood and the fresh eggs on sale are also superb. A real gem!

I've been here twice over the years on bushcraft meets, both around March. Fantastic place to just lose yourself and get away from the world. Bring plenty of food and water and just leave the world behind. Firewood can be bought onsite, an absolute essential on those cold March evenings.
