Nice location. Its quiet. The yurts are not a bad alternative if you are a big group. 6adults plus 2 kids would be expensive in a hotel. 170 per night to sleep 8... rustic.. out of the way but not too much.

THERE IS NO VIEW!! A 7ft privet hedge blocks the view of the vale of the white horse so you feel like you are enclosed in a green box staring at other campers. Pitches are small and far too close together. It was quiet when we stayed - just 6 or 7 other pitches so I can only imagine what it is like when busy… Owner was perfectly pleasant and I have to say it was the best camp shower I’ve had and facilities were pristine. But - experience completely soulless and you just don’t feel like you are in the countryside. Such a shame. Suggestions: 1) Cut your hedge back! Let people see the horse on the hill 2) More generous pitches 3) Leave long grass between pitches so it feels less sterile

First the positives. It has really clean loos and great showers. However, surely the whole point of camping is to feel like you are in nature and not spending too much money. For some reason this campsite has hedges so high you can’t see the beautiful countryside around you. It’s basically a boxed in field round the back of a really depressing farm shop. Unfortunately, there’s just very little choice in this area so we had to stay the night. If you like campsites to be sterile this is the place for you. Thankfully, it wasn’t too busy when we were there, but the pitches are tiny so even though there were three of us, she wanted us to pay for two pictures as we couldn’t fit with a tiny tent and a camper van onto one pitch.

Really great campsite. Clean facilities, electrical hook up on some spots and BBQs/ campfires with own equipment allowed.
