What visitors say
Received a friendly welcome on arrival. A lovely quiet campsite, with view across fields and Lechlade Church and with good size pitches. Easy pay as you go electric. Perfect location for visiting nearby places such as The Farmers Dog, Witney, Burford and with Lechlade just a short walk across the field. Perfect area for walking along the Thames Pathway. Sanitary block spotless and lovely hot showers. My second stay here and shall return to this idyllic spot.

What a lovely campsite, almost so good that I don't want to tell you in case you get the last pitch ahead of us because we shall return... Right on the Thames foot path ...accessable through a private gate and across a field so not too close for flooding. Lovely walks along the river to see some.great.boats, Old Father Thames,.some.locks, and The Trout pub... Five.minute.stroll onto the fab.village with good choice for eating out..also well.stocked Budgens for a good shop to cook in the van. They do the Cook range too... The people on site couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The toilets are clean and perfectly adequate. Good to have showers with temperature control and no push button. You pay for the electricity which keeps the pitch fees down and is more fair. £4 was enough for two night stay using an electric kettle, lights and watching the news on the telly in the summer. Pitches are well spaced around the edge of a large field with a few pitches in the middle which weren't being used. Even if they were it would still feel very spacious... You can hear some road noise but not a problem and not so at night. Great for plan spotting as military plans fly over during the day All in all a great site run well by lovely people. It was a pleasure to stay here and support their local business

We really enjoyed our stay with a 4 year old. The campsite was nicely spaced out and not crowded. It was quiet and chilled at night and fun to watch the planes fly over. It was well situated to Lechdale. Toilet blocks and shower facilities were good. Friendly and helpful managers. I would stay again and I am only local.

Super campsite on the edge of Lechlade on Thames. Well laid out and quiet when we visited . Lovely pitch at the far end of the field. Wall to wall sunshine which was lovely and lucky.Easy walk across the field into the town. Pubs, restaurants and shops to cater for all. Gentle level walks straight from the site. Easy access to local beauty spots. Not overly keen on the e-pitch electric. Prefer not to have to keep checking on whether you need to top up.
