Pleasantly surprised by this pool. My sons swimming lesson had been changed to this location as the Spiceball leisure centre had repairs to the main pool. I have lived in this town for 8 years, and never came here before. Can only imagine a nice summer day swim in this outdoor pool. Will visit again soon.

We tried the Open air swimming pool for 2 sessions. Big free parking space . Decent area for parents to observe kids. Had to stop mid way as there was lightning ⚡ and they instructed to close the pool and would reopen only if there was no more lightning for 30 mins. Fair enough for our safety

I tried the outdoor public swim with my kid. We had a chance to swim for an hour then the staff sent everybody out because they couldn't handle a few people. (Clearly not prepared for 100's of people) There were no reason to send everybody out to wait for police arrival. No extension were given, No refund or even an apology from the staff. An apology would be key in this situation. Not to mention the rude manager. After 30 minutes waiting I tried to get some cold water on me from the pool and the staff told me off for that, so we left. No shower, no feet wash before entering the pool (it would be great for outdoor pool). First and last experience at this place. 2 star is given because if they were well organised / prepared then the experience could be better.

The leisure centre is rocking that tin shed aesthetic, but don't let that put you off! Behind the rather austere exterior is a cracking 50m outdoor heated pool. The season for this pool is relatively short, but the timetable is fairly extensive. Booked online for a lane swim, and at £5.65 this was good value for money. Plenty of free parking on site. Reception staff were friendly and walked me through to the pool changing area. Plenty of cubicles, clean toilets, warm showers, and lockers (£1 refundable). There is lots to keep the children entertained (slides, splash fountains etc), but the star of the show is the pool. Heated to around 26° it was immaculately clean and the lane swim session was popular but well organised with 2 life guards looking on. Lovely pool 🥰
