🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

Ruby Rose

Photo: Ashley Margrove

Ruby Rose is a one-bedroom Vardo caravan, fully restored and set up for two guests with their own enclosed garden near Wisbech. The single open-plan space contains a living and dining area, bedroom with a double bed, and a separate shower room. An external kitchen hut sits alongside, equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge for self-catering. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included.

The real draw is the private hot tub on the decking outside—space enough for two to soak while looking out over the sheltered garden. There is parking on site. The caravan sits in a quiet spot near Guyhirn, within reach of Wisbech and other market towns, and the Nene Way footpath runs just across the road for riverside walks. Dogs are welcome. No smoking inside the property.

Under new ownership so hosts are still adjusting.. Carl & Annie are/have been amazing hosts.. I suggest bringing your own sun loungers for outside seating. The Gypsy Caravan is just big enough for a couple, there are 2 other units a one bed style summer house and a bigger property for larger parties.

Lovely hot tub, kitchenette was well stocked and also has a hot plate as well as the microwave/combi oven which would have been good to use. The hot tub was free to use anytime and super warm, and we got lots of use out of it. There are two other Accommodations the other side of a hedge from the caravan to be aware of, but the noise was kept reasonable and so didn’t really affect us. Just down the road was a bowling alley/laser quest and a warm and friendly pub with good food. The caravan was very cosy and under the bed was enough space to store any belongings, the bed is maybe 4’ up from the floor so wasn’t super easy to get onto. The cats were very friendly and were always trying to get a cuddle. Overall I would be very happy staying here again

Just come back from a wonderful 4 night stay. Alan was a fantastic host, so welcoming and friendly-nothing was any bother. The caravan was so quaint and cosy with everything you could possibly need and the hot tub is fantastic. Everything was so clean and well presented. We will definitely be regular visitors from now on.

We loved staying in this quirky gypsy caravan for the weekend. The kitchen shepherd hut was really cute and well equipped. The shower was great in both power & water temperature (always important!) and the hot tub was awesome! The owners were super friendly & hospitable and did everything to ensure we had the perfect stay. Will definitely be back.
