What visitors say
We stayed at Elie Holiday Park for two nights. The location itself is beautiful, and the campsite is set in a lovely area with great walking opportunities and a peaceful atmosphere. The site is large and the facilities look impressive at first glance, with parts of the shower and toilet blocks recently renovated. However, our overall experience was less positive than we had hoped. The welcome felt quite impersonal. Everything seems to be organised at a distance, and as guests you quickly feel more like a number than personally welcomed. For us, a warm reception and personal contact are an important part of the camping experience, and that was missing here. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were also disappointing. The showers were extremely hot — so hot that standing under them was uncomfortable. The toilets also didn’t flush properly, often needing multiple attempts and sometimes not clearing at all. This wasn’t just a one-off issue, as neighbouring facilities had the same problem. The campsite itself is in a beautiful setting and has potential, but for us the lack of personal atmosphere and the issues with the sanitary facilities mean it’s not a place we would return to or personally recommend. Fine for a stopover or for exploring the area, but not somewhere that stood out for the right reasons

We were on a touring pitch in our motorhome for 2 nights. The pitches had very large holes and were a hazard. The pitches were uneven and had gravel. Certainly not worth the cost of £54.00 per night. Not enough toilets and poor facilities in general. However, the view is spectacular. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and the staff were lovely.

Wonderful for kids, lovely beach, great coastal walk, and the Elie Chain Walk is memorable, but not for the faint-hearted. Owners need to do more litter picking, though, - the magpies and seagulls must not be fed or you'll regret it !!!
