Seaford Bay

We come here on occasions as it’s not very far for us. The location to Newhaven is great if you’re thinking of catching the ferry to the continent. For us it’s the views, the walks to Newhaven and Seaford and just being near the sea. The site is rustic, the showers are very basic but kept clean. Although it could use a bit of tidying up there’s a certain attraction about it that makes us return!

This park is set in a lovely position, right by the seafront with a bar/ cafe within a few steps away and beautiful walkways for daily dog walks. Beautiful views from seafront. Railway station also within easy reach, just a short walk away with regular trains and very friendly, helpful staff. The site has friendly wardens, happy to chat. However, the site does appear a little unloved in that quite a few caravans are very dirty/ scruffy externally which is abit of an eyesore, also there is a small gated dump site in one corner where trucks come and unload old fences etc. There is also alot of settled water under some vans which again is offputting. The facilities are adequate but toilet cubicles are very tight indeed. The showers were nice and hot. Overall it is an ok site for couple of nights, we were on a road trip so perhaps we were spoiled by other sites with much better facilities.

We received a very warm welcome at this lovely site. It's a perfect spot to stop overnight if you are catching an early ferry. Nearby trains if you want to visit the local coastal towns.

Well if you want somewhere in this area, right on the seafront, this is fine. But the toilet block is old and falling apart with a rotting floor, it badly needs replacing. And the pitches are a bit rough too.
