Why It’s a Top-Class Choice: Perfect Location: If you are tackling the trail, you couldn't ask for a better spot. It’s conveniently located and saves your legs when you're ready to call it a day. Spotless Facilities: The whole place was nice and clean—from the dorms to the communal areas. It’s clear the staff take great pride in maintaining the hostel. Top-Notch Atmosphere: Even for a short stay, the vibe was welcoming and organized. It truly felt like a "top class" establishment rather than just a basic bunkhouse. Bottom line: If you’re hiking in the area, don’t hesitate to book here. It's a fantastic, reliable rest stop that makes the journey much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back!

Came across this on my trip walking across the south downs way. The staff where extremely friendly and welcoming. I had a very tasty breakfast roll to fuel me for the coming hills. They also had a great stock of cold and hot drinks and home made cakes 🍰 Exactly what you need if you are on the downs and needing a boost. Thanks so much again. (Toilets and water filling facilities also ⭐️)

We enjoyed a burger and pizza here on our South Downs walk. The service was good, the price reasonable and the burger very good - best I’ve had in recent times. I can’t comment on the rooms but the building was well looked after.

Right next to the train station. Plenty of parking. Easy check in. Lovely lounge and kitchen areas. Nice cafe serving hot food and drinks. The room was a bit small and noisy as you'd expect. There was a green light that kept the room lit up, so that was a bit annoying, and I had to sleep with the windows open, because even though the thermostat was set to 6 degrees, it was above 26. There were 4 shower rooms and 3 toilets for 7 rooms, but you are able to go to other areas to use the toilet. They'd partnered with Waitrose to provide drinking water fountains. It was great value for money.
