Pant Glas Mawr Cottage sits within 20 acres of farmland near Holywell, at the edge of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The single-storey property is semi-detached to the owners' home but has its own enclosed garden with patio and furniture, looking out over open countryside. A covered pond lies about 5 yards from the cottage, so worth noting if you're travelling with young children.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two singles. Everything is on the ground floor, including the living room with television and DVD player, a kitchen/dining room with electric cooking and a sun room, plus a bathroom with bath and shower cubicle and a separate toilet. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; heating is oil-fired. There is parking for two cars on site.
The location suits walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Bridle paths cross the surrounding fields, and if you're an equestrian, stabling and grazing can be arranged. Llanasa village, a 10-minute walk away, has a pub and castle; Holywell is 7 miles off for larger shops. The coast—Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre beaches—lies within a 15-minute drive. No smoking inside the cottage.

What guests say
This is a little off the beaten track, but Mrs Clarke was really helpful in talking us into finding it. The bungalow is spacious with a nice garden. Little touches such as providing soap a cake and some milk were really appreciated when we arrived. The decor is a little outdated, but everything is comfortable and warm
