About Ynyshir Farm

Whopping big fields and phenomenal views in Flintshire? Whoop a big yes please to Ynyshir Farm, a small but supremely spacious site with sea vistas, 10 minutes' drive from Talacre on the north Wales coast. Look one way towards the Dee Estuary and the Irish Sea; look the other and it's all green fields giving way to hills and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) beyond.

Being on a former farm, there's bags of space to stretch out and run about, with firepits available to hire for outdoor cookouts and late-night natters. Dogs are welcome year-round, both on site and down at Talacre beach, where shifting dunes, wide sands and a 17th-century lighthouse make a mighty good introduction to the area. For livelier seaside fun, Rhyl's amusements, aquarium and botanical gardens are just 20 minutes away.

Picturesque campsite with great views, but honestly 5 toilets and 3 shower rooms for the whole campsite isn't enough. Hot water has run out several times for showers & washing up sinks. Toilet roll has run out in all toilets multiple times (luckily we brought our own).

We are 2 moms with 3 children in a tent. We arrived 10 mins before check in and as phone signal wasnt great we was greeted by a lovely gent who took our booking name and as it was quiet we got to pitch anywhere in the field. We have a stunning view over the sea. The facilities are exceptional to say the least very clean nice toilet paper and the showers were cleaner then some hotels ive stayed in. Beautiful site and well worth a visit.

We’ve just come back after a group camping trip and we had the best time! The site was great for the families, the kids could explore safely and enjoy outdoors to the full! View is incredible! The facilities were pristine and the showers were excellent! Location is great…lots to do nearby! We definitely will be back. Thank you!
