Talacre Beach lies within reach on foot, its distinctive lighthouse a focal point for year-round visitors—families build sandcastles in summer, walkers venture out in colder months. Prestatyn, Rhyl and Llandudno are all short drives away for a change of scenery. Pubs are within a mile. The Old Dairy Barn itself commands an elevated position overlooking the Dee Estuary and Irish Sea, with a substantial private garden and lawn that catches the light throughout the day.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a king-size bed, one with a standard double. The bathroom is modern with a walk-in shower. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, including a Quooker tap for instant boiling water. You have the whole property to yourself, with electricity, bed linen and towels provided. Heating and hot water are covered. No smoking inside.

The combination of proximity to the beach and distance from crowds makes this a working base for a week, or a simple weekend away where a long garden and uninterrupted views across water do most of the entertaining.

A beautiful and immaculately appointed 2 bedroom cottage with all the amenities required for a week self catering, cleaning materials, kitchen pots, pans and utensils. Washing machine and tumble dryer if needed. Milk, a cheeky beer and small bottle of wine was a nice touch. Location is perfect, away from busy roads and noise, we were able to enjoy some evenings with a glass of wine or two in the private garden. Access to Flint for groceries and its train station for trips to the coast, Liverpool or Chester if you don't want to drive was great or Conners Quay also for grocery shopper was very close and convenient, driving into Chester and Cheshire Oaks designer outlet was also very easy although beware of traffic and various speed limits.
