Stepping into Woodhouse Cottage, you find yourself in a comfortable ground-floor living space centred on a multi-fuel burner and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—proper hob, full oven, dishwasher, everything you'd need to prepare meals rather than just reheat them. Upstairs, two bedrooms sleep up to five: one with a double bed, the other with two singles plus a pull-out third, each with their own multi-fuel burner. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor, both with baths and showers. Parking for two cars is on site, and the cottage is your own entirely.

The garden is the real asset here—a large lawn with an orchard, patio, and seating for the evenings. There's a barbecue if you want to cook outside, and a bike store if you're planning to explore on two wheels. Inside, essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; if you're travelling with a small child, a travel cot and highchair are provided. Smoking is not permitted.

Location-wise, Chester itself is easily reachable, and the cottage sits well for forays into north-east Wales and towards Llangollen via the A55. A pub lies roughly half a mile away, and shops about two miles distant. This works as a base for city breaks or as a stepping stone into the countryside beyond.
