The Lodge is a detached, single-storey property sleeping two in Coleford, on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Everything is on one level: an open-plan kitchen and living space, a bedroom with a 6ft bed, and a wet room with walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric cooker, microwave and coffee machine. A utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, handy for cleaning outdoor gear after forest walks. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
Out the back, an enclosed garden and patio overlook wildflower meadows and open countryside. The garden has seating, a barbecue and is secure enough for dogs—and they stay free. There is private parking for two cars on site. Smoking is not permitted indoors. The market town of Ledbury, known for half-timbered buildings and independent shops, is nearby. The Three Choirs Vineyard is a short drive away for those wanting to break up their stay.

Stayed here for my partners birthday. We unfortunately got stuck in traffic so arrived a bit late, but despite this the female host was lovely and showed us to our room. The room itself at a glance looked nice but on closer inspection there was black mould in the bath room area and the wallpaper was peeling off. It looked like poorly done DIY project. After a long day we were excited to get into the comfy bed, but it turned out the whole bed was damp… The shower pressure was also poor. The host however was great she put out some breakfast bits for us in the morning. This room needs some serious renovations to justify the price we paid.

What a cool place to stay! Couldn't have felt more welcome. The room was so different and I loved the shower on stone flooring. The whole bathroom was a joy. The bedroom was chilled also, the extra space to chill outside of the bedrooms I thought was so nice! You could be socialable if you wanted or just chill in the living space on your own. Just a very cool added bonus.

Amazing location. Amazing hosts (canine). Amazing hosts (homosapien). The room was stunning and well thought out. I was a bit wary because of a few negative reviews, but I can honestly say this was a perfect stay.

Absolutely stunning room. i loved how rustic it was. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations , I made friends with the dogs 😆 and we sat by the log fire together ❤️ Lots of beautiful walks so close by Will definitely book here again
