I visited the park for the 1st time. POSITIVES: Golden Valley offers a unique site as it's not at all regimented likely other sites. Dated but very clean toilet/shower block. Extremely family orientated with plenty of play areas for children. Good cafe and bar. Good entertainment on the Saturday night. Good dog walk which leads straight out into beautiful countryside. CRITIQUE: The older guy (STAFF) driving the buggy around site, had no respect for campers, speeding round the site, kicking up dust and stones which frequently hit my camper. There seemed to be no monitoring by campsite management, of the behaviour of campers. My experience consisted of noisey adults getting louder and louder with increased swearing, way after 10:30pm, clearly having no respect for anyone else around them. Additionally, parents let their children run wild, again not respecting other campers. It was like the children were ferrel. Not the kids fault, they had clearly never been taught boundaries. The dog walk had human poo covered with used toilet paper. On Sat 20th June 2026, 1 campervan owner decided to speed round the site beeping their horn at 10:45pm. If you want a peaceful break, this is not the place for you. Site managers should take responsibility for ensuring campers stick to site rules. There were contact numbers located around the site to report any concerns. I chose not to use these as I would never have been off my phone. I left a day early and I will not be returning to this site.

Nice place, lovely surroundings, kept clean. However…. Shower block is SO cold. 2 days had cold water in shower, spoke to cleaner and she said “ I’ll tell him to turn the setting up !! Feel I shouldn’t have to ask.

A lovely campsite. We will definitely be using on a regular basis for a quick weekend away. Kids playgrounds are amazing, and kept our boys entertained from Friday night to Sunday morning. Kids entertainment was just as good, and then music and discos in the evening. However by 10pm, the site becomes quiet to allow sleep for everyone. Onsite facilities were great, bar and cafe great. For our weekend away, we couldn't have found a better site.
