No. 2 Hickling Chalet is a ground-floor property within a small cluster of six chalets at Beachside Holiday Chalets, moments from the Norfolk coast. It sleeps four across a double bedroom and a second room with bunk beds, with one bathroom and parking for a single car. The open-plan living and dining area flows into a kitchen equipped for self-catering, and a private patio with garden furniture opens from the front.
Everything you need for arrival is provided – bed linen, towels, wi-fi, electricity and heating are all covered. The chalet welcomes one dog. Walking distance brings you to the beach, family attractions including an indoor swimming pool (paid locally), shops and eating places. Great Yarmouth town centre is a short drive, as are the Norfolk Broads if you prefer quieter countryside and waterways. No smoking indoors.

What an absolute gem this place is! We have stayed close by on holiday for many years and walked/driven past it on numerous occasions but this year we finally got round to booking and staying, and thank goodness we did! The chalet was clean and well-equipped, having everything we needed. The grounds are well maintained and there are benches/picnic tables to use, aswell as disposable BBQs to purchase and an area to use them in. Lou kept in touch and was available should we have needed her. As others have said, the view is second to none and it is honestly so peaceful, especially at night when all you can hear are the waves. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Beachside Holidays to anyone. We will be back!

This is the second time I've stayed here, I love it! So peaceful and quiet, the only sound you hear is the waves crashing against the shore and the crying of seagulls. Get up early enough and you can watch the sunrise whilst sitting on the terrace drinking a brew. Pretty much heaven. Chalets are very clean (a lot of MINISCULE spiders, so if you have severe arachnophobia, just a warning - although I'm quite positive Stu and Lou can't help it if you get arachnids in your room!), the beds are SO comfortable, and everything you need is waiting for you upon arrival. Dog-friendly too so you can bring your pooch and take them for a stroll along the beach. Any problems and the owners are falling over themselves trying to help. Edit: Stayed here 5 times now. ADORE this place! Plenty of take-aways and restaurants locally, places to go if you want to see the seals in their natural habitat up close, and Great Yarmouth is a mere 15 minute drive away. This place has now become my little piece of heaven on the east coast of England. I'm very begrudgingly leaving this review cause if they get too popular, they'll put their incredibly reasonable prices up!

After a difficult few months, we just needed a break where we could rest and relax and our Hickling chalet was perfect for this. Well equipped and comfortable, the views are amazing - we loved being able to sit and look out over the sea, especially during the storm we had! The owners did everything to help us enjoy our stay. There’s also a lovely bakery down the road!
