Pine Lodge is a timber-built cabin where you step straight into an open-plan living space on the ground floor. The layout keeps everything accessible: living area with Freeview TV flows into a dining zone, then a galley kitchen with electric cooker and microwave, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Two bedrooms branch off—one with a double bed, one with bunks—and a shower room serves both. Heating and hot water are covered, as are wifi, bed linen and towels.
Outside, French doors lead to a private decked area with garden furniture looking out towards the sea; a second dining space sits at the rear. You get parking for one car in the adjacent lot. The cabin sits within the Beachside Holidays complex on the Norfolk coast near Great Yarmouth, a short walk from sand and shingle beach. The town itself has the usual seaside attractions—amusements, shops, pubs—while the Norfolk Broads lie within reach for anyone wanting quieter waterways and walking. Smoking is not permitted inside.

What an absolute gem this place is! We have stayed close by on holiday for many years and walked/driven past it on numerous occasions but this year we finally got round to booking and staying, and thank goodness we did! The chalet was clean and well-equipped, having everything we needed. The grounds are well maintained and there are benches/picnic tables to use, aswell as disposable BBQs to purchase and an area to use them in. Lou kept in touch and was available should we have needed her. As others have said, the view is second to none and it is honestly so peaceful, especially at night when all you can hear are the waves. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Beachside Holidays to anyone. We will be back!

This is the second time I've stayed here, I love it! So peaceful and quiet, the only sound you hear is the waves crashing against the shore and the crying of seagulls. Get up early enough and you can watch the sunrise whilst sitting on the terrace drinking a brew. Pretty much heaven. Chalets are very clean (a lot of MINISCULE spiders, so if you have severe arachnophobia, just a warning - although I'm quite positive Stu and Lou can't help it if you get arachnids in your room!), the beds are SO comfortable, and everything you need is waiting for you upon arrival. Dog-friendly too so you can bring your pooch and take them for a stroll along the beach. Any problems and the owners are falling over themselves trying to help. Edit: Stayed here 5 times now. ADORE this place! Plenty of take-aways and restaurants locally, places to go if you want to see the seals in their natural habitat up close, and Great Yarmouth is a mere 15 minute drive away. This place has now become my little piece of heaven on the east coast of England. I'm very begrudgingly leaving this review cause if they get too popular, they'll put their incredibly reasonable prices up!

After a difficult few months, we just needed a break where we could rest and relax and our Hickling chalet was perfect for this. Well equipped and comfortable, the views are amazing - we loved being able to sit and look out over the sea, especially during the storm we had! The owners did everything to help us enjoy our stay. There’s also a lovely bakery down the road!
