Had a brilliant day out at Gullane Beach with friends today. The weather was lovely and made it perfect for a relaxed barbeque by the seaside. One thing that really stood out was the parking — plenty of space and easily enough room for 40 to 50 cars, which made organising a larger gathering completely stress free. At just £3 for the whole day, it is excellent value as well. The beach itself was clean, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The walk along the shoreline was especially enjoyable with stunning views and a proper fresh East Lothian breeze. There is also the usual ice cream parlour near the car park which was a big hit with everyone after the barbeque. Overall, Gullane Beach remains one of the best family and group day out spots in Scotland. Clean beach, easy parking, good facilities and a lovely atmosphere all round.

Nice sandy beach for a walk in the sea air. Sand dunes to explore and a nice park area above the beach to take in the views. Gullane Beach (also known as Gullane Bents) is a spectacular, long sandy bay located in the village of Gullane in East Lothian, about 20 miles east of Edinburgh. It is highly regarded for its soft golden sand, large dunes, and stunning panoramic views across the Firth of Forth toward Fife and the Edinburgh.

One of the best in east Lothian. Is getting well known so getting busy. Great for dog walks and kids. Beach is a short walk from center but it is through the dunes so lovely walk. Great for swimming as you are at the mouth of the forth so water is cleaner than say porty.
