Gwyliau Rhydolion Holidays

I give this place a 2 star purely because there is nothing special about it and conditions are very poor. 1. The toilets and showers: The showers that the men use obviously don’t get cleaned out and there is grass all over the floor and the hangers are broken so you can hardly hang up your clothes and the toilets also don’t get cleaned up. 2. The rules: Nobody in the campsite is respectful of the rules, I always see people smoking, setting of campfires on the grass, and making loud noises past 10 o’clock and it isn’t getting dealt with. On the decent side about this place is there was a good sunset, lots of good places to eat at the village and is a fine campsite.

We stayed here from the 29/06/24 to 02/07/24. We are part of a Residential community for people with Learning Disabilities called L'Arche Dublin. We brought one of our core members, who is a wheelchair and hoist user, on holidays to Rhydolion Holiday Cottages. It was the perfect accommodation for us with electric profiling bed and wetroom bathroom, which was very accessible for hoist use. The villages and surrounding areas had picturesque views and lovely food places. Would highly recommend Catherine's Cottages to stay, she was an amazing host and gave great recommendations for things to see and do.

We've stayed here three times now and Catherine and John have always been so welcoming and accommodating to us, which makes the previous one star review hard to believe. The accommodation is always in great condition and has wonderful facilities not to mention the games room and kids playground. Location is great, perfect to get to Hell's Mouth. Ideal for a peaceful family holiday, no matter the weather.

Excellent accommodation, all you could need and more for a luxury stay,only negative was it was dirty in places, dead flies all over a bed, (it is on a farm in the country), final attention to detail would have raised issues. I am sure if we had pointed it out they would have rectified the problem. Suggest taking own food items as shops not very local or choice not great. Location is a real gem, well placed for a relaxing holiday, 5 minute walk to a six mile stretch of sand Hells mouth'. Within easy distance of other beautiful beaches and places to walk.
