Don't get me wrong. We had a great time at Cae Bach. It has an old world charm to it. The living room is comfortable (especially the lovely leather chairs) and the furniture is all proper solid wood... Apart from the kitchen chairs, which rocked and felt like they might fall apart at any moment. Comfy beds. The range cooker is a lovely thing to cook in once you get used to it. It's not an Aga but it does heat up very quickly. The owner is very friendly and explained the settings, as well as having a printed guide. The WiFi is good and the speed is great for a rural setting. Being able to hear the cows was fun. The only let downs were the cracked kitchen floor tiles, the damage to plaster where electrical items have been moved/added. Although for the very fair price you can allow for a few issues! The place was spotless when we arrived apart from a few cobwebs... But then it's the middle of the countryside so what do you expect? The location is lovely with beautiful views out to the mountains. The owner couldn't be more helpful.
