About Hirdre Fawr Caravan and Camping Site

Tucked into the Llŷn Peninsula countryside near Pwllheli, Hirdre Fawr is a relaxed, family-friendly site that strikes a pleasant balance between basic facilities and genuine campsite character. Pitches come with electric hook-up, and campfires are allowed – always a draw for those after a proper outdoor evening. The welcome extends to dogs, and reviewers consistently praise the friendly, helpful owners who keep the site well-maintained without making it feel overly manicured.

It's not fancy – showers and toilets cover the essentials – but the peaceful rural setting and easygoing atmosphere win people over. A few mention that some areas could use a refresh, but most find it excellent value and a solid base for exploring the Llŷn's beaches and coastal walks.

May bank holiday, the weather is scorching and hubby announced as we set off that he hadn't actually booked anything . Cue me frantically emailing 2 dozen sites whilst heading down the M6. Luckily Annwenn got in touch to say there was a no show and had availability, and I'm so glad there was. What a lovely little site! Set on a working farm. It has spacious pitches, EHU and plenty of water taps dotted around. A small play area for kids and a newish shower block and washing up facilities. Shower block is clean, the showers are 50p for 7 minutes, plenty of time! There are also washing machines and a communal fridge. The view looks out to the sea, and it has it's own private track down to a small cove. A few minutes walk or you can drive down. There are even seals to watch too! There's a local shop 5 mins in either direction. Or 20 minutes to numerous supermarkets in Pwllheli. Loads of gorgeous beaches nearby too. We had a lovely time here, and would definitely return

We have been here many times and it's my absolute favourite campsite. It's a little bit of heaven in Wales ❤️ lovely spacious pitches, clean toilets and showers, washing up area with communial fridge and freezer, washing machines and dryers, great play area for the kids and a separate big field on the main camping field for playing games, private road down to the beach where you are pretty much guaranteed to see the seals. The owners are so helpful and friendly, it's just a lovely family run campsite in a perfect location to access all the attractions in north Wales. Oh and there is a breakfast van and the food is gorgeous ❤️ If I could give more than 5 stars I would ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just spent 11 nights there in our caravan with 4 kids and had a great time! There is a park for the kids to play on would definitely recommend going down to see the seals at the beach. We loved it so much that we are coming back next year.

Lovely family friendly campsite. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Adequate facilities, private lane to beach is a bonus as well as the breakfast van onsite. Will most definitely be back
