Fairlawns is a ground-floor cottage built for accessible living, with three bedrooms and a bathroom arranged in a straightforward layout. The main spaces—living room, dining room and kitchen—open onto a large lawned garden with patio seating; the kitchen has a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedrooms offer a king-size bed, a double, and a bunk pair, each with a TV. Essentials like wi-fi, heating and bed linen are included, and one dog can stay free of charge.
Fairbourne is a quiet coastal village where Fairlawns sits just a few minutes' walk from the beach, a two-mile stretch of sand accessed via a steep stone path. The garden itself has views toward the mountains. The Fairbourne Railway runs from the village out to the headland; from there, a ferry crosses the Mawddach Estuary toward Barmouth, where the Victorian railway bridge and harbour are within reach. Cader Idris, the Talyllyn Railway with its woodland waterfalls, and Castell-y-Bere's ruins are all nearby for a day out. Dolgellau market town and Coed-Y-Brenin Forest Park, popular for walking and mountain biking, sit within reasonable driving distance. The property does not allow smoking.
