Pendref
Gwynedd
Trawsfynydd sits in the heart of Snowdonia, surrounded by forest, hills and water. Pendref is a semi-detached house in the village itself, a short walk from the lake that dominates the area. The coast is about 10 miles away; a pub and shop are on the doorstep.
The accommodation spreads across two floors with five bedrooms sleeping nine: a double with ensuite on the ground floor, two further doubles and two twin rooms upstairs, plus a single, alongside a bathroom and shower room. The main living space is a generous open-plan kitchen and sitting room with a woodburner, dining area, and utility room with washer and dryer. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, and the heating and electricity are included in the rate. The property does not permit smoking.
Trawsfynydd Lake itself is the draw for many: fishing, cycling and walking are all possible here. Blaenau Ffestiniog, a few miles north, is home to Bounce Below (trampolining in a slate cavern) and Zip World (zip lines over old quarries), as well as the Ffestiniog Railway, a narrow-gauge steam line that runs down to Porthmadog on the coast. South towards Dolgellau, Coed y Brenin Forest Park has cycle hire and forest trails. The property has on-road parking and there is space for a travel cot and highchair if needed.
