About Rhiw Goch Inn
Tucked into 18 acres of hilly grassland with arresting Rhinog Mountain views, Rhiw Goch Inn offers proper wild camping in the heart of Eryri National Park. Pitch wherever you fancy – in open fields or near the handsome but derelict Grade II-listed pub that anchors the site. Facilities are minimal (running water and waste disposal but no showers or toilets), so this is one for self-sufficient adventurers who value spectacular scenery and solitude over creature comforts.
The location more than compensates: beaches, mountain-biking trails, and family attractions like King Arthur's Labyrinth are all within half an hour's drive, while walkers can set off straight into the surrounding valleys. There's a feel-good angle, too – pitch fees fund the slow restoration of the once-grand Rhiw Goch Inn, with plans to reopen it as a working pub and restaurant.

What visitors say
Came here with my partner and dog and stayed for a week. Had a great time throughout our stay. The view Infront of the old inn is breathtaking, the facilities had everything we wished for and the hosts were really friendly and informative. 10/10 would visit again

Great place to stay in Wales - remote and quiet. The hideaway was not easy to find - but it has everything you need for a couple to stay in - very comfy bed, equipped kitchen and shower with hot water! Wish we could stay a bit longer.

The camping ground is great. Very small, no light pollution. No toilets, not particularly close to any major roads and within Snowdonia. With how cheap the camping was Im super super happy with my stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Hideaway in the gorgeous Eryri countryside. It was warm and cosy, beautifully furnished and very comfortable: just what we needed after a long day in the hills. Would highly recommend this little spot.
