The Gables

Aberdovey draws people back year after year. The village sits on a stretch of sandy beach that runs for miles, with an estuary beyond, and there is a particular kind of laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a week. The jetty is good for crabbing. The sea itself is there for a swim if you are brave enough, or the beach itself for picnics and long walks. Eryri National Park rises inland from the coast, so if the mood takes you, the mountains are within reach.

The Gables is set slightly back from the village in a quieter spot, on a single level with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping eight guests comfortably. The main living space is open-plan—living, dining and kitchen flowing together—with large doors that open onto a terrace with views to the coast. A private hot tub sits in the grounds, and there is outdoor furniture and a sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. One dog can stay free. There is private parking for two cars.

This is the kind of property suited to a multi-family trip or a group getaway where everyone wants both together time and their own space. No smoking inside.
