What visitors say
I haven't been going here long, but i really enjoy the place. Daniel the gym coach is lovely, as are the ladies on reception, Nick and co at climbing wall, and both pilates instructors Tracy and Victoria. Plenty of classes for a wide range of people, young and old, and everyone has been welcoming so far. The two instructors from Rockstart were also very encouraging when i became scared and tapped out of the session. The only reason it isnt five stars is because of an experience last Friday; something was burning in the women's room, like an electrical/plastic smell. We went to get someone to check it out and the lifeguard who offered to check it out was very dismissive and he outright said he couldnt smell anything despite four people from both changing rooms all telling him they could smell burning coming from the women's room. The other lady present said he was still being dismissive after I left and she had to keep telling him there was a burning smell. Someone suggested he was high or sleep-deprived because of the way he was acting then and beforehand (which i had also noticed when he was at the lockers before I went into the women's room). Heavy eyes, slow speech, etc, very stoner-like.

I’ve been coming to Wyre Forest Leisure Centre for over 3 years now. I started out just doing the odd Spin class, feeling too nervous to go in to the gym itself. I finally asked my Spin teacher Tracey for some PT sessions in the gym and haven’t looked back since. It’s so friendly here, all the staff and the members make you feel welcome, there’s always someone to ask for help if you are unsure of something. I love the fact that it’s all ages and abilities that come here and there’s something for everyone. Whether you are completely new to a gym/exercise setting or looking to move somewhere new I would highly recommend it here.

Good gym and a variety of classes, facilities are clean and staff are friendly and professional. The only problem I have with this venue is when doing the aqua classes the sound system is rubbish and has recently just got worse, the staff taking the classes often end up shouting their instructions as the mic systems dont work properly and keep cutting out. It's very annoying.

This is a great centre, the staff are stand out friendly and make you feel at home. There's plenty of aged and overweight people working out which is great for me because I'm here to work hard not sit on my phone or pose, which can be annoying when you're waiting for a machine. It can get extremely busy which is unfortunate but it comes with the territory during peak times. There is adult swimming lessons and adult weak swimmer sessions which I think is fantastic to encourage people in to the water. Something to bare in mind is that a lot of afternoons the pool is off limits for a few hours as schools are in. Sauna and steam is awesome 😎
