We stayed here in our van with our son (6) and dog and had a brilliant time. The van pitch felt nice and secluded, and the views are absolutely incredible. Our son loved it and had a great little adventure. There’s a lovely walk over the hill behind the campsite to a local pub, which the boy managed easily, so it’s very family-friendly if you enjoy exploring on foot. The facilities are great for off grid style, very clean and well looked after. The bucket shower was a memorable experience! It’s also a working farm, which adds to the charm and made the stay feel really authentic. At one point they even asked us for an egg to help feed a lamb.

Had a quick overnight at this beautiful place with my little dog. Loved it - the individually mown pitches, the views, the well kept toilets and wash room. Had a lovely hot bucket bath with some lavender - there’s even a basket of clean flannels to use. Beki was really helpful and suggested a route over her land to get back to Hassocks station which was much appreciated given I was carrying my gear. I also absolutely LOVE that there aren’t cars on the campsite itself, please keep it this way as I really value it. Due back again in July!

I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of time up at this campsite and it’s a beautiful hidden gem. Close to Brighton and on the South Downs, it’s ideal for however you want to fill your time. Waking up here is magical and climbing the hill for sunset is unbeaten. It’s the perfect, quiet spot in Sussex. The cabins are super cute and they have a great pitch if you have a van. But make sure you book for those. Perfect if you’re walking and looking for a place to pitch your tent. Lush hot water and a surprisingly different and enjoyable way to wash!

I camped for one night in Jun 26 on a stop off whilst walking the South Downs Way. It’s a small lovely site situated a 15 min walk from the South Downs Way trail which prides itself on being eco friendly. I would highly recommend a stay and in particular, make use of the hot water bucket wash/shower system they have in place, which is a great way of saving water but still gets you lovely and clean.
