Hergest Ridge View sits on the edge of open countryside in Herefordshire, with the Welsh hills visible from the back of the property. The surrounding landscape offers immediate access to footpaths and 30 acres of shared land—you can walk straight from the garden across sheep pastures toward Hergest Ridge itself, part of the Offa's Dyke Trail. The ridge commands views toward the Black Mountains of Wales and the Malvern Hills, with wild ponies and the remains of a Victorian racetrack at the summit.

The single-storey stone building sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double, two singles and a further single. There is one bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, the dining room opens to a woodburner, and an enclosed garden with furniture sits to the side. Parking for three cars is available on site. Essentials including bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are provided, along with initial fuel for the woodburner; additional logs are available from the owner. The property is non-smoking. Note that the shared land contains five ponds.

This suits walkers and those seeking quiet countryside rather than amenities. Weobley village is within reach for supplies and dining.

Went back after 5 months today. Spotted the same ponies just with their Winter instead of Summer coats and some of the foals grown up. Always an expansive, beautiful walk

Great walking up over the top, along the Offas Dyke footpath. Grand views all around from Trig Point, can see the Brecons in the south and start of Snowdonia in northwest, with the Cambrian mountains across to the west. Sat for a while watching the wild ponies grazing close by. Lovely morning walk up from Gladestry.

Beautiful walk we did 2 hours of the old race course and visited the rocks which symbolises the top of the ridge. Lovely seeing all the wildlife but didn't see any ponies unfortunatly. Highly recommend there are loads of paths through you can follow any. Free to park
