View on Google Maps

Herrock View is a detached cottage built in character, standing on the England-Wales border with views across farmland and countryside. It sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, the other with zip-and-link single beds that convert to a double—and has one bathroom with a bath and shower. The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner, and a kitchen-dining room where you can cook properly, alongside a bathroom. Upstairs, both bedrooms are accessed by narrow stairs.

The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included, along with logs for the woodburner and a welcome pack. Outside, there is private parking for two cars, an enclosed garden with furniture and barbecue, and a private hot tub that seats six. A separate games room has a pool table. The garden has three steps down to the lower level.

The cottage sits within reach of Hay-on-Wye, Kington and Hereford, each with independent shops, bars and restaurants. Hay itself, known for its annual festival, is about thirty minutes' drive away. Offa's Dyke and the hills along the border are easily accessible for walking. A pub and restaurant are two miles away; the nearest shop is four miles.
