The Wooden Lodge
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsHerefordshire's quieter corners suit those after genuine seclusion without sacrificing comfort. The Wooden Lodge is a ground-floor detached property on the owner's grounds near Southam, where you and one pet have the run of a private enclosed garden and decked sitting area. Inside, everything is on one level: a combined living and dining space with a wood burner, a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking, two bedrooms (one with a zip-and-link bed that splits into singles, one with a double) and a bathroom with bath and shower.
The essentials—bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating—are included; the kitchen has what you need to prepare meals properly. An open-air barbecue is set up in the garden. A pub sits two miles away and shops are four miles off. Offa's Dyke Path and the Mortimer Way are within reach for walkers, and Presteigne market town lies six miles on. The property does not permit smoking. One dog stays free; additional pets are charged separately.
