Flamingo Land

The one significant positive of this site is its excellent proximity to the nearby theme park, which was incredibly convenient for our visit. If being close to the park is your absolute top priority and you're willing to overlook other aspects, then this might be an option. However, beyond the location, the experience was unfortunately very disappointing. The toilets and showers are severely dated, feeling like they haven't been updated in decades. Worse still, some of the shower facilities had genuinely rotting wooden seats, which not only looked unhygienic but also felt unsafe. This really detracts from what should be a basic comfort and necessity when staying away from home. Adding to the disorganised feel, cars, tents, and caravans appeared to be dumped haphazardly across the site, rather than being parked or pitched in any designated or orderly fashion. This created a cluttered and untidy environment that definitely impacts the overall atmosphere. Having stayed in numerous other places, it's clear that this site falls significantly short on essential amenities and general upkeep. While the location is a definite plus, the condition of the facilities and the chaotic parking mean we've certainly experienced much better elsewhere.

We went for 4 days with 4 grandchildren. Check in was poor with only 3 people but long ques, especially when you've booked with them and paid for early check in. The Accommodation was fine, clean and within easy reach of everything. The Park not so much. We have been before and it was good, not so much this time. Many rides were closed or down, which ment longer ques at the other rides, not easy when you have 4 grandchildren of differing ages. Getting people on and off some rides to ages, with many only having one operative. Rides had spaces and were not utilised , filled up using single or double riders. Hour wait for 35 second ride is ridiculous, can't get many rides in a day for the price they charge. The cost of food and drinks was extortionate, don't mind paying a bit more but £4.25 for ice cream when you have 4, and £3.50 for a (£2 @ most) Oasis drink is scandalous. Evening entertainment was poor to say the least. We made more use of the swimming pool than park. The Park, lacks places to sit when waiting for children on rides, there is not enough benches scattered around, plenty where the food places are, so your on your feet a long time. Sorry but, but we will not be going again, this is our last time. Place seems to be running down.

The site felt unsafe for our children. There were clearly drink drivers going from the pub to the theme park entrance- such a large site that isnt policed in any way. It was being used by locals to deal, myself and wife observed this in toilets and bar area of the main club. I'll look elsewhere in future.
