Coachmans Cottage

This detached cottage spans three floors within the High Peak, with a character built around its original features and outdoor amenities. A private drive leads to stone steps and a decked terrace overlooking half an acre of natural grounds, where a hot tub sits ready year-round. The stream that runs two yards from the boundary adds to the rural setting, though the property itself stands on its own with private parking for two cars, including an electric charging point.

Inside, the layout makes best use of the vertical space. The ground floor holds the kitchen and dining area with a full range of appliances, plus a separate toilet and French doors onto the decked area. The middle floor is a living room with a wood burner and television. Upstairs, a single kingsize bedroom and bathroom with shower complete the accommodation. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; logs for the burner can be bought locally. Note that the stairs are steep and narrow in places, and the cottage is for adults only.

Whaley Bridge's pubs and cafes lie a mile away, with a shop and restaurant at two and a quarter miles. Buxton—known for its opera house—is ten minutes by car, while Bakewell and the surrounding villages of the Peak District are within thirty minutes' drive. Smoking is not permitted inside.
