Glossop sits at the threshold of the Peak District, a working market town where independent cafés and local shops line the streets alongside pubs and restaurants. The surrounding landscape opens into moorland and valleys threaded with footpaths—the Longdendale Trail, Snake Pass and sections of the Pennine Way are all within reach. Manor Park and Howard Park offer gentler ground closer to town, and the train station is a 15-minute walk away if you want to head into Manchester for the day.

Hillside Cottage is a detached property sleeping three, with one double bedroom and a sofa bed in the open-plan living space. Downstairs combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas; the kitchen has a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs is the bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided. A patio and sitting-out area overlook the back garden, which is split across multiple levels with 18 steps. Parking is on the road outside. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
