Applewood Cottage

Applewood Cottage sits in a quiet cul-de-sac at Dalnabay, within walking distance of Aviemore's shops, bars and restaurants, with the Cairngorm Mountains rising behind. The Highland landscape here draws walkers and skiers year-round; the village itself has everything from outdoor outfitters to cafes, so you're never cut off. One dog is welcome.

The cottage is set over a single floor and sleeps eight across three bedrooms: a double with an ensuite, a twin, and a bunk room with two adult bunks. There's a family bathroom in the hall. The living and dining space is generous enough for a full table of eight, with two sofas, two armchairs and a woodburner. A sauna sits indoors if you want to warm up after time in the mountains. The kitchen is fully fitted for cooking, with a dishwasher, electric hob and oven, and a separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Logs for the woodburner are provided from October to April.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a decking area with new seating, a pizza oven and brick barbecue for evening meals in the open air. There's a bike store and parking for three cars on site. The cottage is no-smoking. Spey Valley Championship Golf Course is roughly ten minutes away if you're keen on a round.
