Camus Na Harry

Camus Na Harry works well for couples or small families wanting to step back from things. The single-storey wooden cottage sits within four acres of garden that slopes down to a shingle beach, giving you both privacy and direct access to the shore. Everything is on one level, with a living room centred on a wood-burning stove, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a games room, and two bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included.

The setting draws wildlife: pine martens visit regularly, and otters and seals appear in the bay often enough that you might spot them from the garden. Gairloch itself—with shops, restaurants and a sandy beach—is five miles away. Boat hire and water sports are within reach at Badachro Bay, about a mile and a half down the coast. The garden is steep and crossed by a burn, which matters if you're planning on young children exploring unsupervised.
