Lochside House works well for families or groups of up to eight. The ground floor has a living room, kitchen-diner, sun room and one bedroom with two single beds and an ensuite shower room. Upstairs are three further bedrooms—two with kingsize beds and one with two singles—sharing a bathroom with both bath and shower. A travel cot and highchair are available. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking and an enclosed terrace leading to a garden with patio, furniture and barbecue.
Most rooms look out over Loch Duich. The house is finished to a high standard and comes with central heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels included. A rowing boat and small fishing boat are free to use. Across the road are boat-launching facilities and hire options. The location suits walkers and cyclists heading into Glen Shiel; the area has five munros within reach. Eilean Donan Castle is nearby. Plockton, a village known for its appeal to artists, is an easy drive away, as is the ferry at Glenelg for Skye. A pub with food is at Shiel Bridge, five miles off. The nearest shop and fuel are a few miles further at Inverinate. No smoking indoors.
