Rhianchaitel House

Rhianchaitel House stands on what was once a working croft in the village of Bettyhill, on Scotland's far north coast. The house itself dates back over a century, though the land's history goes deeper—the ruins of a much older 17th or 18th-century cottage remain in the grounds. Today it's a spacious base for five people, set back from the village centre with no immediate neighbours, positioned roughly halfway down the slope toward Farr Beach. One dog stays free of charge and has room to roam across the grounds and garden; the track to the house sees only occasional traffic.

Inside, the layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds the living room, a kitchen with dishwasher and electric cooker, a utility room with washing machine, and one single bedroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms—a double and a kingsize—plus a bathroom with both bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are covered, and the house comes with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate for younger children. A back garden has seating and furniture for outdoor time; parking on-site fits three cars.

The Store Bistro & Bar lies within the village, and walking downhill brings you to the beach in minutes. The NC500 route is nearby for exploring the wider region. Non-smokers only.
