The Birches

The Birches is a single-storey detached cottage where everything unfolds on one level. You step straight into an open-plan living space divided by a feature wall, with the kitchen and dining area flowing into the lounge, all with garden views. A second sitting room offers a quieter retreat. The three bedrooms comprise two doubles and one twin, served by two bathrooms including a large family bathroom and an ensuite shower room. A utility room with washing machine and freezer takes care of practical needs.

The enclosed, lawned garden wraps around the property—ideal territory for children and dogs, with a dedicated dog area and outdoor furniture. Three cars fit on the private parking. You get electricity, bed linen and towels as standard; heating is oil central; a welcome pack, travel cot and highchair are provided for families. One pet stays free. No smoking inside.

The cottage sits in Ardclach, a small rural hamlet in woodland setting roughly seven miles from Nairn. This is walking, cycling and fishing country; a stocked loch lies half a mile down the lane. Badgers, deer and woodpeckers are regular visitors to the area.
