Thistledown
Highland
Dornoch is known for its expanse of sand and the famous golf course that draws players from across the world, but the village itself rewards a slower pace. The cathedral stands at its heart, and independent shops line the streets—among them the Old Jail, stocked with Highland-made goods. Thistledown sits on the edge of this small community, close enough to walk into the centre in minutes.
The apartment is a single-storey open-plan space with a living area, dining section and fully equipped kitchen where you can cook properly or simply reheat. Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a zip-and-link super-kingsize bed (configured as twins on request), the other two single beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is private parking for one car, and a bike store if you want to explore further.
The Highlands beyond the village hold distilleries at Glenmorangie, Clynelish and Brora, Dunrobin Castle, and woodland and beach walks in all directions. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
