Beautiful old estate with gorgeous nature and walking trails. Room was very nice and big, modern shower etc. Service was friendly and The breakfast was really nice. The building itself was in ok/good condition. Very nice experience, can recommend staying in here for a night or few.

Rooms were as you would expect to take you back in time to an old estate. Ive never stayed in a place like this before and its definitely somewhere I'll remember. Family run establishment, breakfast was lovely, friendly staff members, nothing to complain about other than the really bumpy road on entering the premises.

This is a beautiful manor home in the middle of a forest. As we got closer to the GPS destination, it started to feel a little bit like we were going the wrong way. There was a sign that said "Private Road", and then that small paved private road turned into a dirt road and then into a muddy, rutted path. It then opened into a clearing, which held a beautiful, stately, magnificent country manor house. The place was so luxurious and dignified that I felt almost certain that the inn keeper would take one look at us in our tattered motorcycle gear, wet rain jackets, and dirty boots and tell us that we were not welcome here. Instead, he gave us a tour through the lobby up the stairs to our room and showed us to our lovely spot in East Room One. The room is gigantic, with towels laid neatly on a beautiful bed, a table set for tea for two people, giant picture windows with stone balconies overlooking a forest, a massive bathroom with a giant tub, and beautiful hardwood floors. The house sits on 150 acres of forest and river; there is a fierce stream that crosses the property. They also care for horses here, and I saw a group of three horses roaming free on the property, munching on grass, slightly curious about me as I walked by. In the morning, we went down for breakfast at 8:00 and met four other couples that were also staying at the place. We all sat together around a big table and traded stories, travel advice, and ideas about where to go next. This was way more fun than sitting by ourselves in a restaurant. We desperately wanted to extend our stay for one more night so that we could have a full day to enjoy the place, but they were completely booked for the following night. I'll miss this place, and felt a wistful sadness as we packed our bags to leave.

I'd read the other reviews and went in with an open mind. The house itself is amazing. There doing a really good job of keeping the house in good repair, it's an old house so I imagine it's a full time job. I really enjoyed my stay and there's more detail below about the room and breakfast. It's a somewhat difficult place to get to but that's part of it's beauty. I went for a walk around the house grounds and the views were stunning. I would describe this place as a tranquil paradise.
