Highfield Farm

We used this campsite to host our football teams annual camp out and couldn’t have been happier the owners were both really friendly , helpful and accommodating ! The site had lots of places to explore and we loved the alpacas and open spaces!

It was lovely to stay in the Shepherds Hut, private, cozy and well equipped with comfortable bed, cooking utensils, basic appliances such as mini fridge, kettle, toaster and a sink. Peaceful location and friendly locals, perfect for couple and family getaways. The BBQ and fire pit were great for the evenings. Had a log burner but we didn’t need it in the summer. A friendly, family campsite with a warm welcome and beautiful surroundings. We came to High Field Farm for our second visit on the last weekend of the summer holidays. The campsite was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad we went, it was lovely!! As a result of our first visit we planned the second with 8 other families from our daughters school. Iain was brilliant and accommodating allowing us to have use of the field so we didn't disturb any other campers. He'd put picnic benches out for us as well as a huge barrel BBQ to use. The children had a fantastic time, as well as the adults. There's some lovely walks, which we all enjoyed with lots of wildlife to see and hear as well as going to feed the Alpacas at tea. It kept everyone entertained. The facilities were clean, safe and the family welcoming, checking in with us to make sure everything was okay😊 I'd highly recommend this site for families. You have showers, toilets, chemical disposal and a washing up area as well as ehu and fresh water points, however, surrounding you are trees and greenery. It's a brilliant balance which for us creates the perfect site! All the families that came with us want to return next year as well as some additional families which have heard how good it was and want to join next time. I can see this will be a regular favourite for us going forward.

Went camping for a night with friends. Its a great place for a last minute break. Loads of space, picnic benches, fresh water taps, Electric hookups, plenty of bricks to raise bbq’s up off the grass, outdoor pot washing area & toilet block, toilets have no light but manageable. Friendly welcoming staff, My kids loved it, will be returning soon.
