Houghton Barn Farm - Harans Vardo

Harans Vardo is a traditional Romany wagon on a working farm near Accrington, surrounded by fields. The entire structure sits on one level and contains a living space with a wood burner, a small kitchenette for basic cooking, and a bedroom with a double bed and single bed tucked underneath. Electricity and heating are provided, along with bed linen and towels. A wood burner is stocked with initial fuel.

The bathroom is housed in a separate external hut and features a gas-heated shower and compost toilet. Outside, a patio with a pizza oven and garden furniture offer space to sit, and there is parking for two cars on site. Dogs are welcome to stay. The wagon suits couples or friends wanting something different from a conventional holiday home, and the location puts you within reach of Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland for walking and cycling. The nearest village shops, pubs and takeaways lie a few miles away. No smoking throughout.
