About The Black Hat
Ilkley, on the edge of Wharfedale in West Yorkshire, is a good base for walking and for exploring the town's own pubs and restaurants, and The Black Hat sits right in the middle of it on Church Street. The hotel offers en-suite rooms including family options, with drinks available in room and free WiFi throughout, plus a 24 hour reception for guests arriving at odd hours.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, breakfast each morning, and kids' meals for families travelling together. A garden and outdoor seating area give guests somewhere to sit outside, and meeting rooms are available for those combining a stay with work. It's a straightforward, comfortable setup rather than a luxury one, but it covers the essentials well.
The location makes it easy to reach nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment on foot, and there's a golf course and walking country close by for those wanting to get out into the Wharfedale countryside. It suits visitors who want a central Ilkley base without needing to travel far for food or a night out.
