Cemaes Bay is a working fishing village with a sandy beach, harbour and independent cafés within walking distance of Old Mill Cottage. The property sits in a row of traditional stone buildings that take their name from Melin Cemaes, a historic windmill that once stood on the site. It's the kind of place where you can spend an afternoon watching boats come in and still be back for supper.
The cottage has two bedrooms—a double and two singles—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Downstairs, the living room has a woodburner and television; the kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher and all the essentials for cooking. You get bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating included, plus initial logs for the burner. There's parking for two cars on site and a small enclosed garden with a patio and barbecue. One dog stays free. The property is not suitable for smoking.
From here, the island's attractions are within reach: coastal paths, a sea zoo, Beaumaris Castle, and boat trips to watch seals and puffins. Holyhead port, for day trips to Ireland, is 15 miles away. Snowdonia National Park is also accessible for a day out. The beach is a mile away; the village shops and pubs are half a mile.
