Penrhos Bach stands on the outskirts of Carmel, where rural Anglesey stretches away on all sides. The island itself is ringed by 125 miles of coastline—golden sand beaches lie 9 miles south—while Snowdonia National Park rises inland. The village has a pub and shop 2 miles away; a restaurant is 8 miles further on. Medieval Beaumaris Castle, Plas Newydd and South Stack Lighthouse are all within reach for a day trip.
The cottage is a single-storey property with everything on the ground floor: one bedroom with a king-size bed, a shower room, a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker and washing machine, and a living space with a dining area. There is a lawned garden and private parking for two cars. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with oil central heating for cooler months. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra charge.
The setting suits walkers, cyclists and bird watchers drawn to the island's varied terrain and wildlife. No smoking is permitted indoors.
