You arrive on the ground floor of Seaview Cottage to find two bedrooms and a bathroom, then climb to the first floor where the main living space opens out. The upper level is a single large room combining kitchen, dining area and lounge, with a woodburner and windows that frame the surrounding landscape. Glass doors lead straight onto a raised patio and garden, where you can sit with views across the countryside towards the coast and mountains beyond.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer all provided—while the lounge has a TV and the woodburner for warmth on cooler evenings. Downstairs, one bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in) and the other has three single beds (3ft each), so the cottage sleeps five. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Wifi, heating, electricity and bed linen are all included; there's also a welcome pack when you arrive.
The property sits on a country lane between Tyn-y-Gongl and Marianglas on Anglesey, within walking distance of Benllech village where you'll find shops, restaurants, a bowling green and children's play facilities. Coastal footpaths are nearby. There is private parking for up to four cars on site, and the grounds include a pond 50 metres away, unfenced. No smoking inside.

We stayed in the Swallow cottage. This is a lovely barn conversion. It has nearly everything you want to stay in it for a week, even a wood burning stove. Rooms were nicely proportioned, with excellent oak furniture. There is a good supply of DVDs if, like us, you get a day which is just too wet to venture out. Kitchen is well provided for, though it's obviously not like being at home. We cooked there for three out of seven nights quite successfully. The grounds are lovely, with fruit trees and bushes throughout. Later in the year (it's June 2024 now) they should be amazing. The only slight issue was the very poor internet service provided by a wi-fi box situated on a tree opposite the door to the cottage. Not a massive issue for most, but my son did need to use it for uni work. All in all, I would recommend it as a great place to stay and visit the island.

Outstanding Cottage! This cottage was recommended by a friend and we would have no hesitation recommending to anyone else. It’s tastfully furnished, kitchen is fully equipped very comfortable and relaxing. Great views from the cottage too. Only a 15 minute walk into Benllech and a further couple of minutes to the beach. Under floor heating which was a dream. Location was great for walks on the door step or further afield and as it’s a small island your not far from anywhere. We hope to be able to return. Thanks to Gill and Mike who are lovely people and on hand for any information should you need it.

We have been visiting Plas Llanfair for around 8 years and do not even contemplate other options as it would be impossible to find more welcoming hosts or a more homely base. Quiet, secluded, well located for hopping around the island and near to a whole host of Anglesey's ever evolving restaurants; for us, the perfect base.

We were looking forward to a relaxing 10 day break in a lovely cottage and we certainly weren’t disappointed. By the end of the first day I’d lost count of how many times my wife had said, “Isn’t this gorgeous.” We continued saying similar things to each other right through to our leaving day. We’ve enjoyed numerous cottage breaks, usually in the Lakes or the Cotswolds and we had our favourites. Seaview Cottage in Anglesey has trumped them all. There are so many lovely walks all over the island, some right from the cottage door. The owners, Gill and Mike have created a slice of heaven and called it Plas Llanfair Cottages.
